RELION 2.1-beta released



Latest announcement from Sjors at CCPEMmail-list" We have changed our version of RELION on http://github.com/3dem/relion from 2.0.x to 2.1-beta-0 to signal a new release. The new release is a bit faster (thanks to the SciLifeLab team) and has (among other improvements) the following new functionalities:
   - de novo 3D initial model generation (using an SGD algorithm, which is very similar to the one in cryoSPARC, see Punjani et al Nature Methods, 2017)
   - helical symmetry in sub-tomogram averaging
To distinguish it from RELION-2.0.x versions, the buttons on the GUI are now green. I've also updated the tutorial on the RELION wiki to reflect the new changes. Please tell us about bugs you may find through the issue tracker on the github page.

原来是版主把我想注册的名字提前注册过了:)   Relion2.1里的自己产生initial model的确方便了许多,但不知道效果怎么样?

原理上和CryoSparc是类似的,速度上来说,Relion这一步没有GPU acceleration,所以快慢取决于CPU。
实际操作上的performance。。。从我们组内测试来看,大家还是倾向于cryoSparc 。
